Yesterday I went wheeling with a buddy who I've been following on Instagram for a while but had never met. It turns out he graduated from Brevard a couple years ago and we met playing golf with a few of my friends who knew him from when he was here. We hit it off on the course and Thom said he would take it out with him which is what we did. It was a lot of fun! His rig is very nice and much more built out than mine so I was a little bit worried about whether I could keep up with him on the trail. It turns out I was able to and it wasn't too difficult it was just very narrow, I got a lot of new pinstripes on my paint. His FJ got through with a lot less difficult but my 4Runner did completely fine and I was happy with its performance for mostly stock besides suspensions and tires. We got some fire pictures and rolling shots which was fun and I am looking forward to going out again soon on some more trails around here because it is so beautiful and always a blast to be outside i...

Image
Saturday was the football team's last home game. Everyone showed up to support it was a great turnout and an awesome win! Before the game JD Lilly and I went to Oskar Blues for an hour or so to get food and hang out, we played a couple games of corn hole. Both of them vs. me and I won all three games which were fun for me, but they also had a good time with it. Then we went back to school and played around for a bit with some of the games they had there and then watched the game. I love the atmosphere at the football games because of all the energy. the team really balled out for their last game of the season. they ended up winning 40-10 which was a great way to end the season as well as senior night.

After my cousin and I watched the game and before going out that night, we drove about an hour down the road to Southern Pines which is where my aunt and uncle and two cousins( one of them who I was with) live, as well as my great aunt and uncle. We stopped by my great aunt and uncle's house first to say hi for a bit and catch up. They were the ones who came to visit me and watch one of my games earlier during the season. Then we stopped at my aunt's and uncle's house to say hi to them and my other cousin. They didn't know we were coming so we surprised them which was fun. we stayed there for a bit and talked a good amount which was nice.  We also had to get a blow-up mattress and a pillow for the dorm room back at school. It was a lot of fo fun to do all that in a weekend and I look forward to seeing them all for thanksgiving as I will be going there for the break!

Last weekend I went to visit my cousin who goes to UNC-Chapel Hill. I left early Saturday morning for the 4-hour drive to be there by the 12 o'clock kick-off time football had against 8-0 Wake Forest. I immediately loved the vibes I got when I arrived on campus. there were so many people walking around and going to the game, massive parties outside, and music. We met up by his dorm and then went to the game. it was really good, they were playing pretty evenly as they went back and forth with the touchdowns. in the end, after some pretty exciting plays and turnovers, the Heels won 58-55. After the game, we rushed the field with the rest of the fans and that was insane. it was really sick to be playing around with the music and all the players around us as well. Then we went to dinner at the cafe, which was amazing because the food was so good, a nice change from our food here which sadly isn't always the best or most exciting. Then we went to his dorm for a bit before walking a...

I had an absolute blast in my first season playing college soccer. playing here has felt like a satisfying culmination of all my years grinding and playing finally amounting to something bigger. We made it to the quarterfinals and sadly weren't able to get a hold of the win to move on to the semis, but it was still an amazing experience with an incredible group of guys. We went 9-3-3 which is a pretty solid season and ended third in the conference. I was able to earn a decent amount of playing time, especially coming in as a freshman. I played in nearly all the games and started in three of them. I can wait for the upcoming seasons to come and all we are going to accomplish, hopefully working our way back to get another conference championship like they achieved last season
